I forgot to mention that on my trip to Florida, on our first visit to the Keys, I had my first glimpse of a water spout. It lasted only a very short time, perhaps a couple minutes. I got to see it form, spin, and then vanish. Although it was some distance ahead of us, offshore, my mom and I had a pretty clear view of it.

On the Sunday that ASI finished, my mom and I headed south from Tampa for a vacation in the Florida Keys. We decided to take the southern route, Highway 41.
Tomorrow I am flying to Tampa, Florida, first to attend the ASI convention, and then for a couple days in the Florida Keys with my mom.
